Stardust Petals

Some flowers don’t bloom in the garden. They bloom in the quiet moments, when the light turns soft and everything feels a little more possible. Stardust Petals is that feeling, painted. Layers of lavender, plum and blush move across the canvas in broad, sweeping strokes, like dusk settling over a still room. Out of that softness rise petals touched with gold, each edge catching the light as if a little stardust had been left behind. It is painted slowly, one petal and one line of gold at a time, because I wanted it to feel like something you notice more of each time you look. In the morning it’s gentle and dreamy. In the evening, when the room dims, the gold begins to glow. This piece is for anyone who finds beauty in the in-between: the soft and the strong, the quiet and the luminous.
